After recently being nominated for the best electronic/dance album Grammy by Planet's Mad, Baauer shared another fun and fanatical electronic improvisation project called The Boptape to thank his fans. The music of the 19-track tape was recorded live on Twitch, hosted by comedian Patty Harrison, who is the star of Shrill, and the podcast is Lorelei Ramirez's podcast, this perfect TikTok.

Boptape also released a deluxe version of "Crazy Planet". The physical version of the deluxe version is packaged as a Blu-ray disc, containing a full-length visual album by Los Angeles art studio Actual Objects, four new songs, eight remixes by artists such as AG Cook and Special Request, and a series of Baauer music videos. You can pre-order the Blu-ray here before the release in January. The deluxe version will also be available on DSP on December 17.
